best lightsaber fight?

    I don't think this has done before (interestingly enough) but anywho which of the many lightsaber fights do you think outranks them all?

    I left out Obi Wan vs Vader (A New Hope) because of poll limitations.

    Personally I think the fight against Maul was the best. I felt it was by far the best choreographed, pity about the end of it tho, I felt it ended too abruptly

    I agree with you both.

    The camera shots were excellent and it just seemed like it really was a fight.

    The fight from attack of the clones--understandably, it was something that had to happen, but practically the entire fight between anakin and 'count' was face shots. And i'm not saying there shouldnt be face shots in the fight scene, but you could barely see how the fight was going because of that.

    I guess i kinda expected more from that fight scene.

    But I agree...the fight scene with darth maul was the best and it seemed like the longest fight scene.

    the fight with maul has to be the best by a long shot, but what also did it for me was the fight scene music which is unmistakable, any time i hear that music i automtically think of the fight.

    Can I pick two!

    Mauls was the best looking,most exciting but I have to go with Luke and Vader from Return for the emotion and the fact that it was the most plot relevant.

    Did I just say the words relevant plot and emotion in a star wars thread :eek:

    I agree with you all, the Darth Maul Vs. Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan was, I feel, the best. It had a great kinetic energy that seemed missing from the others. For emotional content, however, Luke Vs. Vader in Return or Yoda Vs. Palpatine in Revenge. Mace Windu Vs. Palpatine was also excellent.

    Yoda vs. Palpatine had great potential but Lucas fúcked it up royally by adding too much dialogue, same with Windu vs Palpatine. I mean wtf was with all of Yoda's lines in the film? there was one particularly bad one; I think it was said when Yoda and Windu were discussing Anakin's ambition. his speach thing was a nice gimmick in the original trilogy, but in the new trilogy Lucas just took the piss.
