    Hi

Up to yesterday I was receiving BBC Radio 4 of my Lidl FTA system. Then it stopped. Total silence.

Now all the other radio and TV channels are working fine, no problems at all. So why have I just lost this one radio channel? Anybody got any ideas?

    Thanks

Maybe they changed their PID or something

Some broadcasters are constantly faffing around with their PID settings for some obscure reason

Do a rescan or edit the PID and you should have it back
    Transponder is 11803 H 22000 5/6 or 11954 H 27500 2/3 or 12441 V 27500 2/3

Recently discussed. The BBC have moved the radio stations.

I have to wonder they they do change frequencies, or sometimes just change the APID, so you end up with a picture but no sound.

This seems to happen less on Astra 1 (and when it does, there's usually a scrolling banner informing of the change), where most possibly use FTA receivers, and the channel would lose viewers by moving freq.

Of course Sky receivers don't suffer when channels change.

In this case, they've moved satellite! Were on 2D, and have moved to a pan-european craft (its 2A I think, but it might be 2B, I can't be bothered checking). Freeing up a few megabits for more TV services.

Hmm.. For a while BBC R4 Moved to 2D and then added on a Pan European beam as there was complaints about loss of service when BBC TV went FTA on 2D.

It's more about that than TV space. One TV channel = Almost 50 radio channels

Ah, I can understand that. I meant other channels, that might have less reason to move, or just change PID's.
