    Heuston services - disruption by Corporate Communications
    UPDATE 21st June 2007 - 7.40hrs

    Customers are advised that all services to/from Heuston Station are currently halted due to an incident outside Iarnród Éireann's control near Sallins in Co Kildare.

    The incident is being attended by the emergency services. Services will resume when the emergency services permit. Customers are advised to make alternative travel arrangements where possible.

    Iarnród Éireann apologise for the inconvenience caused.

    Incident delays Heuston rail services

    Thousands of commuters experienced delays this morning following an incident on a railway line at Sallins in Co Kildare.

    A spokesman for Irish Rail said a body was discovered on the line and emergency services are still at the scene.

    It led to considerable disruption to early morning services into and out of Heuston.

    Services began again at around 8am but there are still significant delays on all services into and out of Heuston Station.

    Irish Rail sent empty communter trains to pick up inbound passenger that were stuck at stations on the outskirts of Dublin.
