Right so, im planning my next (and most likely last ) big trip ... I spent the last six months in South America and now im living/working in New Zealand , If and when i head home im thinking of heading to China > Mongolia > Russia and ive reseached that part quite a bit , then im planning to from Moscow to Cape Town and working my way north and eventually home.

Anybody done the Cape to Cairo route ??? Any advice or recommendations ?

Im happy enough with the South Africa > Namibia > Botswana > Zambia > Zimbabwe > Mozambique > Tanzania to Kenya part of the journey but from Nairobi to Cairo involves going via Ethiopia and Sudan ... I can go on an organised tour for this bit , takes 28days and costs over a grand though !!!

Any ideas ?
