Just saw this bizzare program on BBC2 tonite, in which that cheeky git Simon Amstell the presenter of never mind the buzzcocks is interviewed and asked is his piss-taking going a bit too far, it ended with Amstell walking out after getting irritated with some of the questions.

But i still don't know whether the program was for real or just staged??

    did u c it??

I haven't seen it but its probably just staged to renact the 'Preston' incident where he walked off during the show and Bill Bailey replaced him with an audience member. Preston walked because ya man was reading from his wife Chantelles autobiography.
He is really funny but sometimes just goes too far.

Yeah I agree. He can be funny but his piss-taking gets cringeworthy. He can get too mean and way too personal. I actually think that's the problem with Never Mind the Buzzcocks. It can be funny but the scripted gags are mean and over the top.

No one is forced to appear on it though.

Pure piss take. More of a compilation of best bits from Amstells shows so far. I don't think they go too far. It's hilarious. No ones being forced on the show. LeMarr openly aired his vindictiveness (doesn't look like a word now that I've typed it) and he was absolutely hilarious. Amstell is more stand-offish if anything, but still very good. I don't think they could have done better for a replacement.
