anyone here notice themselves buying more retro clothes than new fashionable ones?
i know now that retro is back in, in some regards, but do u find yourself looking out for retro clothes more than new ones?
ima car nut, and notice that I prefer cars from teh 80's/90's more than any the trollep thy're rolling off production lines these days.
I dunno if its a case of keeping the good ole days alive by buying this gear or what!
how about ppl with kids, would u buy your kids old toys/clothes over new toys, say toys/clothes/tv that u wood have played with as a kid, clothes u wood have worn/tv shows u wood a watched, u see where im going.
id love to hear ppls replies on this one
as well as finding out about this obsession i have with retro gear, im interested to see wat size/potential the retro industry is/has?

It's massive in Japan, with original LED watches from the 70's changing hands for up to 4 figure sums.

I always thought there was a market for this, but there are various speciality shops (like Flip! in Temple Bar who cater for retro-clothes) and then there's the bethemoth known as Ebay for everything else.

Again, you'd need to focus on a particular niche area. I know of one guy in Dublin who makes a handsome living refurbing old VW Beetles.
