Got it and enjoying it. If you haven't played it on any other format then you will love it. The controls take a little getting use to but it all comes together and works real well

Was thinking of getting this meself this weekend seeing as it's my birthday.

From what I've seen, it does look like a bit of a larf....

No online hurts a bit but doing Scorpions spear throw with motions looks like it'll more than make up for it

Got this yesterday, actually pretty darn enjoyable, its a big step forward from the some of the previous shambles we've had. Characters now only have 2 stance's (melee and armed) and is much more pick up and play friendly, and the combo's are pretty much all custom combo's. It doesnt have much depth to it (as is the case with all MK games I suppose), but its a great fun pick up and maul people violently game that flows quite well and passes the time pretty effectively and is a good laugh. Havent really played Motor Kombat yet, but Konquest mode is damn good fun, its a 3d beat em up type game, think TMNT (Turtles) where you unlock most of the characters etc. Custom charecters are also pretty fun to mess about with, you can really go to town on their moves list. The fatality system is pretty odd too, pretty much all charecters have the same fatality list (except bosses and some get special weapon ones), but with such an obscenely long list of moves and messy things to play around with you are unlikely to see all of them, ripping off both the arms and beating them with em being a personal favourite, if you cant beat them with a big stick, beat them with the soggy end!

Overall dont expect it to keep you gripped for days on end, but its great if you have a few m8s around for regular pasting sessions, especially with the custom fatalities, they can get very brutal and/or humourous, and I can see myself coming back to it for quick gorey sessions for months to come.

What could possibly be wrong with leaving a person without their arms, thighs, ribs, heart, and head? seems fairly family viewing to me

Been playing around with custom charecters a fair bit today, damn you can do so much with them, great amount of moves to pick from.
