Snoring...help! (Repost)

Ok so datastore error means I can't see what people replied to my last thread Reposting with mods permission

Really looking for advice on how to stop my bf snoring as I only got an hour's sleep last night and it was horrible He was snoring on his back and side so changing position didn't help.

Does anyone know anything that they've heard works, or has worked for them?

If kicking or a shift of position dont work, I usually go to the spare room.

There are a multitude of things you can try, from earplugs for you to nasal plugs for him. Itll be trial and error Im afraid.

Good luck. As a light sleeper, I sympathise.

I have posted before here about snoring .. if it is regular snoring as in every night .. there may be a case of OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea). And if this is the case no amount of over the counter remedy's will work.

Have a look at http://www.isat.ie for more information and if you feel the need have a chat to you GP who may refer him to a Sleep Clinic.

I have the same problem as you - I have ended up kicking Shane in my sleep in the leg which works but leaves him with bruises on his leg. I think that you have to learn to love the snore, certainly, I find it soothing at times when my hubby comes home from work and we sleep in one anothers arms for an hour or so.

I remember being stuck in a hospital trying to sleep with the guy in the bed next to me snoring like crazy!

Nasal plugs seem to work for most people - and I recommend ear plugs for you definitely! I know there's nothing worse than lying there awake hoping the other person will stop snoring! Good luck.

Yes well you would say that, and if I don't get sleep I get very cranky so you've been warned!

Anyway thanks for the help, I'll have a look at the links and see if I can find anything... if anyone else has a method they swear by feel free to share!

I have the same prob - I'm a light sleeper he snores
Got Breathe right strips - looks like a plaster on his nose you see some of the rugby players wearing them sometimes

They have a flexible plastic strip built into the plaster and they soooooooo work I'm gonna buy shares in the company

I get a full nights sleep and he sleeps better too - I bought them for €8 for a pack of ten - they are well worth a try
