Replacement passport

    my pp is valid and up to date but it went through the washing machine over the weekend and i need to get a replacement one asap as im heading to africa in the next two and a half weeks, i sent off for a new one today. anyone know how long this will take? i heard 10 days

    What way did you send it off? If you sent it normal post it takes 6 ish weeks (from receptionist in Passport Office last week) but if you sent it by the post office swift thing it will be 10 working days.

    If you used the swift post options it should take 10 working days. If that isnt enough time, take yourself to the passport office and show them proof of your flights etc and they should sort it out for you. There is an extra fee as far as I know

    Next bit is a bit out of place but this question comes up a lot, maybe it'd be good to have a passport sticky?
