Photoshop tips for working efficiently

I've picked up a good few tips over the time I've been using ps, not just keyboard shortcuts but quicker ways to do particular things. I just found a document with a ton of them, all together, and, well, my brain hurts! But it's a great reference, if you pick up two or three at a time and try them out so you can remember next time - it usually saves you going into manu options or having to click three times instead of once, that sort of thing.

Stuff like holding down shift while using the crop tool will constrain it to a square ratio, holding down alt while in a curves/levels/hue-sat options box will show you a reset button, holding down space will change your tool to the hand so you can quickly move about a large image - stuff like that.

Now I just need a huge desk to fit everything on so I can do the keyboard shortcuts while using my tablet :(

Handy stuff indeed, I knew a few of them before but feck thats a lot.

Two of my favs are ALT clicking on a layer mask thumbnail to display it onscreen.
(ALT click on the image thumbnail to go back to the image)

Holding ALT when moving a levels slider to see a threshold map showing clipping coloured by channel.

Great list, thanks. Now to find somewhere in my brain to store all of this...
