A Career as a Garda???

    Hi,
    I'm interested in a career as a garda(in a few years,i'm only doing my junior cert now :o ) but if there are any gardai out there, what would be your advice on this career path??:confused: Or if there are any garda trainees out there feel free to give me your advice or experiences!! Are there any useful subjects i should take for my leaving cert?? How difficult is the recruitment +training?? Would it be worth taking any of the preparation courses available?? And finally, is the pay good as a garda????

    Please help me out :D
