Ntfs write support

    Does the modern linux distro support ntfs writing using either 3g-ntfs and/or cifs for the network stuff ?

    yup, ntfs-3g works flawlessly for me.

    I should add that as far as I understand it cifs is the filesystem the clients sees, the filesystem on the server can be any supported filesystem which is then shared as a cifs share.
