Was supposed to go for a round last night but that fell through so placated meself with a round of par3 with a buddy... Got p*ssed on from the 6th hole til the final putt... No chance we'd jack it in though... I was like a drowned rat at the end of it... And me buddy came back from 2down with 3to play to beat me on the 18th...

    Stupid game... :o

Anyone else out in that weather last night?

No - but was playing in Hollystown last week. No wet gear, no umbrella, no hat. 25 minute downpour. Stood under trees but still got soaked.

Didn't want to give up - had 20 points after nine.

Managed to do a score of 34 points - and thankfully missed gettin 0.1 back!

If I had walked in I would have got 0.1 back.

Made it feel worth the effort.

I was in Charlesland Tuesday night, on the 11th tee when the thunder pealed overhead.

My 4th ever round. Scored 25 points, so I was happy out.

all in all it has been a miserable few weeks weatherwise for us golfers. Played Dublin City GC on Saturday and it was fairly bleek. Rained for most of the round and then a massive downpour finished us off on 17. Good course by the way.
