and it really has baffled me how big this really is, which got me to thinking, what do you guys do out there for interesting hobbies?

I do a bit of the old ghost hunting... I don't actually believe in ghosts... but you know.. it gets me out of the house.

I like to drink til i can't remember, then get into fights with people with weird hobbies and bludgeon them to death with their objets d'arts in the dead of night. I once snapped out of it in a hotel room full of dead hookers and monopoly money screaming "Shrewsbury Road is mine BIIIIIAAAAATCH..........& I've got a hotel there".

On a serious note, wanna build me a racetrack style poker table?

Me and one of my mates spent a good while playing Fruity Tree Taggin'...

It's where you get a piece of string, a piece fruit, maybe some cellotape and then you sneak into peoples gardens and tie fruit onto them. Ya should see the state of one house, an elderly couple, where they haven't realised what we've done, like five months later, fruit is still hanging all around their gaf!

Fcuk, I could go to jail for that.

I like to dabble every friday and saturday night in a spot of tea-bagging and helicoptering with a fine young willing lady. Was in London for the heineken cup final few weeks back and did my first heli-bagging (i'll let you use your imagination) act. Hehe, she didn't know what hit her (well actually she did and seemed to enjoy it). Score. :D

I'm not sure this qualifies as interesting but it's weird. The "sport" of cup stacking. My brother got the set at Christmas. Complete with regulation cups.
    Seriously

Well I'm not sure you'd call it a hobby. But I'm passionate about Judo, I read, watch and think about Judo call day.

Even when I'm alone I'm thinking about fighting Judo, combinations which have worked and what might work next time I fight.

    Thanks about it I'm afraid.

Ditto, and after work I always like to wear tights on my head and ramble on about how I'm Jesus's love child. But that's more an average thing for people than a hobby.......ahem.

can i class music as an interesting hobby? I get tunnel vision when i see a new instrument, i have to learn it to a certain standard that allows me to pass off a tune of some sort - even something like the pink panther (my piano song)

my other thing, is kinda sad, i wouldnt count it as a hobby, but i do get enjoyment out of it... i guess it enthralls me - programming

    ill get my coat

I'm the same with an instrument, I'm always intriged to learn it enough to squeeze out a tune.

As for the programming jibe, get out!! :p

As for my hobby, eh, well I collect Arcade ROMs. You know, the games we used to always play in the arcades that swallowed our 10p's. Pretty much know all the hardware and history of arcades except I don't know the techy stuff at all like "My god the compression rate of the textures on this board is unfathomable!!" sort of thing.

Wait up Red_Ice, I gotta grab my coat too.

Have trained for the past year in Iaijutsu (Drawing and cutting with a sword in the same motion). Not very practical if I find myself shopping on Grafton Street? (unless your name is Bill...;) )
