It was never PS3 exclusive and this was announced at E3 last year but no one seemed to believe it till now.

Dublin1983, you're starting to turn into the Xbox equivalent of anto-randombunchofnumbers. Nobody likes fanboys.

THE1NE, we've all known for a long long time that the game would be launched on both 360 and PS3, there were rumours at the time that both would get different episodic content, which may still happen in some form. Time will tell, I'm sure Rockstar will release more info before the game is released. It's not that big a deal at the end of the day, the game will still be released on PS3, all this means is I'm more likely to get the 360 version unless there are significant other differences.

im sorry if come across as a fan boy, but its hard not rubbing into the fanboys with opens arms when the ps3 don’t have the software for there powerful console.

360 Release a game every week

ps3 never release games.

What the hell is episodic content is it just goign to be extra missions , seems pointless i never finish these games anyway start off with great intentions but pretty soon im driving around crashing into things and ramping over stuff

Thats what I want to know. Each episode is suppose to cost around 15 euro too.

Maybe its because they can only fit a certain amount on the 360's plan old DVDs???

Err that's because Microsoft and Rockstar did not have a real deal in place, everybody from PR people to some of the top people in Microsoft were unsure of the deal or what it entailed.

Yeah, that was one of my first ideas back at E3, but it's now supposedly extra exclusive.

If it was part of the standard PS3 GTA IV package it would hardly be exclusive content.

Nah its not that Microsoft just threw 50 mill at Rockstar for exclusive episodes so don't think thats whats going on...

Basically, content (i.e. missions, new cars, weapons, maybe even a new small city) that is realesed after the game, that costs people more money. You dont have to get it though. Think the official mods for Oblivion, or to a larger extent, the Half Life episodes.

360 is out what a year and a half now? PS3 is out 3 months. Give it time, and just cause the Xbox is bringing out a game every week doesn't mean they're all good games. (though June 29th is!)
