bought a pretty sweet Dell 6400 on ebay for €630 just rang about getting upgrade of warranty. Been quoted €190 for next day biz day service plus accidental damage for 3yrs.

Just read some stuff about Dell warranties on notebook.forum.com where a former Dell manager siad defo go for it then conventietly drop it after a couple of years. The idea being that in two years whatever the give you will automatically be an "upgrade" i.e. my lappie has a 160gb hard drive in two to three years what will be the minimuim size HD be or what will be the lowest spec proccesor be.............

    Heres the article

So what do you guys think is it bargain.

If you were the sort of person who was into being duplicitous and law-breaking then perhaps you might view it as being a 'steal'. ;)
    IMO it's not worth it.

A very interesting article from a site that any self-respecting bargain alert-er should bookmark!

Of course accidents can happen but... like chump said - what you are suggesting would be well outside the letter of the law.

*waves finger* I accidentally closed the thread. Don't think there is any room for that carry on here.
