Which Emu for Virtua racing

    hi guys can anyone tell me the best emu they have found for virtua racing? can't seem to get it running under mame so i said i'll try something else.

    thanks

    * i have .116 running and it gives the error vr-tgp.bin not found

    is this just a corrupt rom maybe? or do i need a different emu/version? thanks

    Woops, thought for some reason you were on about something else. Download the latest MAME, anywhere above version .113 I think (I have version .114 and it works perfect on that)

    can't find .114 anywhere im afraid. is that mame or mame32 you have it running under??

    Sorry, had buisiness to take care of there. Yeah, I meant MAME32. I presume .116 runs it as there was a big deal when they finally got it emulated by adding a Model 2 .bin file. I hope you downloaded the latest-ish rom of Virtua Racing.

    opening up the zip archive and examining the files reveals they were created in 2004. is your newer? thanks for getting back to me BTW

    the version of the rom you have pre-dates the mame emulation...

    presuming you own a legal version of the game you need find a more recent version of the rom...
