IT Nixers info request

    Hi All,

I am thinking of doing a few after hours nixers in IT, such as new PC setups for those short on computer knowledge and general home support like virus removal, wireless configs and security etc.
I have 12 years in IT so I have the skills, I am just wondering what sort of things do I need to begin?
12 years as a PAYE has made it difficult to know what to do when it comes to this sort of thing.
Also a question to those that already do this, is there pitfalls you need to watch out for?

    Any help would be appreciated.

If its a nixer you dont need to care about PAYE, Cash in hand my friend.

I have done in over the last couple of years though just friends of friends etc.

Hehe, no I gathered that, I meant since I was always a PAYE employee, my business sense is lacking.

It would be Limerick based, so the Dublin crowd would have no worries about competition :D
