Just curious as to how many people here have an Arcade/pinball/slot machines. While I have been in the hobby for a while,it has become clear that very few people are in to this side of the collecting in Ireland .So i thought that i would ask to see what was out there. Most people go for Jamma cabs and I can understand why,But I see mame talking over, who woun'dt want a machine that plays 1000+ games, and takes up the same space of 1 cab.

I was going to sell of the little collection a while ago,but considered the amout of time it has taken to get to this stage, and realising that i would never get the chance to get some of the machines again in the condition there in .I will just have to keep them

I will start with my little collection.

    Outrun delux, (waiting restoration)
    Mario Bros widebody
    Scramble
    Centipede
    Arcanoid
    MK3
Omega race (Board issues dont they all)
    Defender cocktail
    Robotron Cocktail (waiting restoration)
    Bally 5500 slot machine
    4 Skill slot machines
    Pitboss counter top
    Verious boards,spares etc

And last but not least 1 mame cab under contruction,if you cant beat them join them,Also if anybody else has built one, from scratch?.What style was it etc.

While I am on the point I am still looking for a Pinball machine,if anybody has one.

    Well thats my 2cents.

    Cheers Mitch

Wow, that's a great collection you have there. Which type of cabinet is Outrun Deluxe? I presume stand-up unless you live in a big warehouse. I'd love to collect cabs since it's a rare as hell thing on this island but since I'm a young whippersnapper that's nearly 22 I have no room to plonk 'em anywhere (I doubt my flat will hold the space, somehow :p). So for now I'm looking for parts off Arcade owners as they seem to be goldmines with control panels, boards and the sort. I'm eventually gonna build a MAME cabinet or, if I'm lazy, convert a cabinet hopefully next year when I'll have the time if I never get around to get an actual Arcade cab like Mortal Kombat II or, obviously, a Neo Geo MVS cab.

For now, I'm a Software Arcade collector that's yearning to have the real deal.......blast my irresistable sexy youthness!!!

    I agree, it seems to be pretty rare to come across people who own arcade cabs. Anyway, here's my collection;

4 JAMMA cabinets (Challenger II's) with the following games:

JAMMA PCB's (all originals, no bootlegs):
    - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (4-player version)
    - Midnight Resistance (have 2 rotary joysticks, not installed yet)
    - Tetris
    - Sidearm: Hyper Dyne
    - Wrestle Mania
    - Rampart
    ... i've 2 or 3 other PCB's, can't for the life of me think of them :D

    NEO GEO MVS Carts:
    - Metal Slug 1
    - Puzzle Bobble
    - King of Fighters 2003

Mitch, if you ever have any Arcade related stuff going spare (for sale or otherwise), let me know. BTW, if anyone has a Neo Geo MVS (prefareably a 1-slot) let me know ;)

I had a NEO GEO 4 SLOT machine with World heroes 2, Last Resort, Baseball Stars Pro, Art of Fighting and Thrash Rally.

unfortunately it died and I couldnt fix it so its now a NEORAGEX cab, soon to be full mame cab with jukebox and such... :)

So does that mean you have a 4-slot MVS up for grabs?

Mitchomagic - that's impressive - if not at least for the space required. My space budget is quite small - so my collection have to fit on a laptop ball. Hold onto that collection if you can - it's pretty unique to have so many physically.

Space is a problem, havent put a car in the garage in years,As for the outrun its the full sitdown unit 750lbs,beast to move around.Hope to get it up a running soon. The rest of the machines are sitting in the house, very understanding better half.have to build a new bigger garage and move the to a new games room.
Forgot to say there is also a 8x4 pool table waiting to be rebuilt.I need more room.....

Hygro, I see a little collection starting, hows the Gun/Mvs system?.havent used them before?.

That is some list of cabinet, I would (will) love to have even the one, this is going to be my project for the year.

The books you can get on Amazon "How to build your own Arcade Cabinet" are they any good??

You could try get your hands on a cab by going to any arcades you might have been to when you were young (especially ones outside Dublin) and see if they have old cabs stored away that they dont use anymore.
