Nice shot. They are a bugger to capture ! If I were being picky I would suggest a crop to get some of that background out. Also, the angle isn't great but it's too late for that now. Nice work though !

Great shot and an unusual colour too. Its the foreground that is the killer not the angle, either way - well done!!

A tighter crop would get rid of so much foreground & background.
You've got lovely detail on the dragonfly, so you'd easily get away with cropping this.

Well I wanted to leave some fore/background to highlight the DOF

How tight of a crop would you suggest???

generally a blurry foreground doesnt add to a nice DOF and is more than not overly distracting. Personally in this I would crop right into the dragonfly, you still have the leaf behind the tail to give DOF and the focus is not distracted by the blurry foreground. Either way, it looks like a great capture and focus seems spot on..

If you still have the original, you should be able to crop it this tightly and still have a good quality image.

The crop definately improves it. Fantastic detail on a very difficult subject - well done!
