knight rider style bike

I have these memories of a BMX style bike I always wanted but never got as a kid. It was in the 80's, early 90's.
It was a small, black bike. The main feature was a knight rider style "computer" which in reality was no more than a plastic console on the handle bars with a radio, possible a whistle and blinking lights.
Did anyone have one of these? How accurate is my memory? Does anyone even know the name?

I vaguely remember this. IIRC, the thing on the handlebars was just a gimmick. It was a long time ago and I think those brain cells are gone, but I do remember something like what you're talking about - but barely!

Hmmm, sounds a bit like the Raleigh Vektar except the Vektar was white and the "computer console" bit was down where the crossbar would be, not on the handlebars, if I recall correctly.

This is the white Vektar I mentioned. Did they make a black version, as the op mentioned? Anyone?

I remember the white one, my brother got it handed down from a neighbour. Nothing worked on it though.

That white one looks way cooler than the one I was talking about. It wasn't nearly as high tech. As someone mentioned it was just a plastic console. I seem to remember a radio and other gadgets but I may have imagined all those things. It was definitely black. I wonder if they make those white ones in adult size???:D

That bike brings back memories. I lusted, LUSTED after one of those. I settled for a Raleigh Lizard with a Catseye computer instead.

Either of these match what you remember?

I had the second one. It dosen't appear to be present on this one but it had a fake TV on the handlebars with a wolf being targeted. There was also a button beside the grips that made a noise when pressed.

That second one looks kinda right. The fake tv rings a few bells.
