    Yes.

Yep. It takes you right up to the opening moments of episode 3.

It's the only decent thing to come out of the star wars franchise since Return of the Jedi.

Revenge of the Sith made an utter balls of all the hard work that The Clone Wars had put into building up the characters and plot.

I disagree. ROTS is the 2nd most accomplished of the 6 SW movies as far as I'm concerned.

With PII on ROTS, it tied up everything almost perfectly.

Maybe we can change the subject of this chat, Im surprised so many people
hated EP3 .. i thought it was great .. one of the best .. EP2 was good
had some great atmospheric moments, and even ep1 was decent enough ..
Sure in the 1st 3 eps there is ****ty dialogue (GL shouldn't be allowed to
write any scripts involving emotion) but apart from that the story is still there...
maybe it's because im not a hard core SW fan .. but i think a pretty good job was
done with ep 1-2 , and a fantastic job on ep3 (apart from Vaders NOOOOOOOOOOO!! - Cringeworthy!)

And people complain about the new scenes in ep4-6 ... like cloning Hayden Christen (?)
over the other guy who played Vader at the end of 6 ...

I thought this was great it CONNECTED the films.. you really could connect the characters
at that moment.. HC played Annakin for 2 whole films, SC only had that one scene...

and this was Anakin that appeared .. better he looked like he was when he was good , before he was turned..

Take the horrible dialogue out and EP3 was a great flick. I'm looking forward to the edition with the cut scenes. According to Lucas on the extras, over 50 minutes were cut.

What ?? there will be an edition with 50 mins extra ??!!!!

    for just ep III ?

Lucas said they cut approximately 50 mins from the film, the part in Grievous's ship was a hell of a lot longer, there was a scene with Yoda landing on Dagobah. Check out the 2nd DVD on the ROTS DVD. Going by what Lucas normally does, he'll release a box set with Directors cuts, then again knowing him it'll be a while.

I just watched clone wars I and II ... very good .. especially the first ...
ill put spoiler tags here just in case i piss someone off
I like that style of animation and I really liked when Anakin defeated that
    Sith ....

The 2nd wasn't as good .. the whole "trial" of anakin was a bit sh*t to be honest...but nicely sets up the start of ep III...

And off topic (as i also watched ep II AOTC recently) .. why does Lucas
ignore the huge plot inconsistency that annakin was to old to be trained
when he was 7 or so,... but Luke didn't start untill he was 20+ !!

They'd no bloody choice with Luke, and remember Yoda was not too inclined to take him on at first. The biggest gaping plot for me was that nobody stopped and went "Wait a minute, the guy who our Army is based on is working with the guys we're going to fight with that army".

    I agree with Monkeyfudge

Clone Wars was an amazing piece of work which perfectly captured the tone and atmosphere of the universe and of the war.

When clone wars 2 started the build up for episode 3 it did it perfectly.

And then the film shat on it all and all was lost.

I am in the opposite camp to most other posters in this thread cause when I line up all six star wars films I would rank Revenge of the Sith as the worse entry in the franchise (ignoring of course a huge number of computer games, some comics, a few books and a holiday special)
