IE 5 for mac???? Man, that thing is ancient but it was complete rubbish even when it was new. Are you on OS9?

IE for mac is also offically a dead browser. Microsoft are no longer providing support for it.

You are better of downloading Safari or Firefox for the Mac.

yeah it's OS9. i would download firefox but not sure would i be allowed to.
it was perfect the last few weeks, i was able to get into my gmail account
no bother. but one day the system crashed and since then that error message keeps coming up when i try to log in.

maybe if i throw it off a building ..........hmmmmm!

Firefox doesn't run on OS9 anyway, you'd have to get some old version of Mozilla or something.

Try deleting IEs preferences and see if that helps. They should be in the System / Preferences folder. Also try clearing the cookies, manually if necessary. They'd be somewhere in the System folder as well. It's been so long since I used OS9 I can't remember where :).

iCab (Wiki page) could be a decent browser to try out.

No. In fact I don't recall any alternatives. Netscape had died a few years earlier so it was IE or nothing. Dark times...
