For anyone interested, Sky digiboxes should have updated overnight with the new EPG numbers. The updated list is as follows:

NOTE: This list is showing UK-only channels also. Some edits have been made (byte).

How do you get the likes of itv 2 + 3 to work. I have them in other channels, but should they not appear automaticaly after the epg change...

i don't think so, the OP has listed all the UK channels above rather than just the Irish epg.

Wish theyd stick BBC 3/4 and ITV2/3/4 up the top of the EPG rather than having subscription channels stuck in between.

All slots from 101-130 should be reserved for BBC/ITV/C4 channels (and RTE/TV3/TG4 where applicable)

And this nonsense of having 22 versions of BBC1 should be stopped as well. Let them get the postcode regionalisation system sorted properly (How difficult can it be) and then let anyone wanting other BBC regions use "other channels" (Its good enough for ITV isint it)

I have Living2 on 114 and Bravo on 121 but nothing in between.

ITV2 is not on EPG in ROI. OP has been edited to try avoid further confusion.

Takeovers/mergers/splits happen

After a while the old order makes less and less sense so they need to reshuffle

i don't think that is true, sky seem to do it at random. for instance with this change I don't see any of the above things driving it...

No, following the reshuffle UTV is currently not in the Irish EPG.

Channel 4 said they plan to launch a Ch4+1. Why didn't they tell sky this and leave a slot. Now it will be at the bottom.

In May, a media website reported that Channel 4 was in negotiations in buying Life TV which would give them a 6 EPG block - 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140. I expect that EPG position dictates a channel's ratings. A lower number and amongst the mainstream channel would be better than a higher number (ie : More4 on 172) between Raj TV and My Channel. Channel 4 +1 is expected on August so perhaps they will use the newly-acquired EPGs to move More4/More4 +1. Possible EPG reshuffle :

135 E4 (replace Life TV)
136 E4 +1 (replace Life 24)
137 More4 (replace Life Showcase)
138 More4 +1 (replace E4)
139 Channel 4 (replace E4 +1)
140 Channel 4 +1 (replace Channel 4)

I cant see sky , dont setup the channel list like

1. All Channels >
press select

1. current channels CC101 -999
2. + Channels +C101 -999
3. HD channels HD101 -999

so you would end up with the + channels the same as the current channels numbers and HD channels could be the same

you would then not have reshuffle so often
make sence to me

so if you do not HD, you will not select option 3

Did Channel 6 not start out on 250-something? If so, they're on the up and up!

At this rate, they should be up with the other Irish broadcasters by 2020 (although there is talk of legislation to force Irish channels to the top..!)

ON a Sky box HD and SD that are same content could use the same number and Position. Even if the two underlying channels are on different transponders.

The reason they don't is so that non-HD users will selected the HD channel and get a message to upgrade. they WANT the HD channel numbers visible/separate and beside the regular channels for this reason on an ordinary box.

ON an HD box the SD version of a HD channel should not be on the list.
