Is anyone else getting really fecking sick of the scramble for tickets?
Every single time Dublin play I have to beg people for favours in order to get a few tickets...... even though my brother plays for a GAA team.

I managed to get 1 nally ticket from ticketmaster, but that's it.

Its a pain in the hole. Has anyone got any tips on the bets way to guarantee your Dubs game tickets?

You can sometimes get hill tickets through ticketmaster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Flukey

I think it may depend on who is playing.

Got a lower Hogan for a friend.I won't be able to go to this game however.I most likely miss a match every year due to being out of the country but I'm happy the game I miss is against weaker opposition.

Buy a Parnell Park Pass. Guarantees you a ticket for every Dublin match in croker. Tho I think there's a waiting list for the passes now....

Become a member of a GAA Club. Personally I dont think any tickets should be sold on Ticketmaster until all clubs have got the tickets they asked for. This will cut out as many bandwagon jumpers as possible.

I get mine through my club and havent missed a game in years. Also as someone else said if buy a season ticket to Parnell Park then you are guaranteed a ticket.

My brother plays for a GAA team, but rarely gets the tickets he asks for. He only ever asks for 2 or 4 tickets, but can't even be sure to get them.

I think I may actually buy into the Parnell Park Membership scheme, it would definitely be worth my while.

You can only get one ticket per member. That goes for club players and all other members.

Its amazing how people who give out about tickets going on sale on ticketmaster and complain that they go to touts but anytime I have seen a tout sellings tickets at games they are never ticketmaster tickets but tickets that have came from the gaa boards.

I am pretty sure the tickets can be traced back to the club and even the member who got them with a bit of work.

The person who does this should be banned for life from ever getting a ticket again and the club been warned if this happens again that they will be refused further tickets if they don't get their shop in order.

well ppl wont have any excuse for not getting tickets this time round.... ticketmaster still have fairl decent tickets left at the moment

as far as i know some of the touts collect the resident tickets that are given out and then sell them on... its not the ticketmaster tickets

the gards are usually good for getting the touts... well sometimes anyway

They were there earlier yesterday, but the ones for the double header of the other football semi-final and the hurling final went during the day. :( I'll have to resort to some of my other contacts. That is one nice thing about Ticketmaster, not having to keep approaching the same contacts over and over again and becoming a nuisance.

I just checked again, on the off-chance, and they're back! :)

    Got mine!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,990 ✭✭✭Trampas

I wouldn't have thought the hurling would sell out.

Ticketmaster probably sold their allocation and got on to the leinster to sell more

Had to laugh - I went onto ticketmaster to look up tickets for the match, and I received the following verification code...

May I just stick a note in here to say that I'm seekin 1 or 2 tickets for the Hill/Nally stand. I know that this thread may be moved over to the soccer tickets/requests forum but for now I guess I'll ask anyway.

    All help appreciated!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,990 ✭✭✭Trampas

    Buy tickets for the stands.

Hill and Nally tickets are gone unless you have applied through your club

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,715 ✭✭✭Nalced_irl

    Broken Record Time:

It really is a joke that 1 day after the replay, you can hop on TM to get tickets for the next game. Anyway, im looking for Hill tickets so hopefully the clubs allocation will be unaffected there.

Thank you for your advice, the rolleyes were a great touch.

Again I'll ask, if anyone has a spare hill/nally ticket or two I'd be glad to take them off you.

    Thanks! :)

Ah no facination really, I'm tired of getting given out to by people behind me for jumping up everytime a ball is kicked - I'm really excitable :D

And besides that, I just like standing.

Tickets were on sale on tickemaster so soon because of the fact the meath /dublin match went to a replay, they had to get all the tickets shifted within a week .
If the match hadnt been replayed they would have been up for at least 2 weeks on ticketmaster or until they sold out their allocation

I have got up to 5 tickets before off my club so I don't know where you are getting this from. Have been getting two Hill tickets for every game for the last few years. Clubs are getting less tickets than ever this season though because so many are going on sale on Ticketmaster.

agree dont think ticketmaster should get tickets until all the clubs have enough(which aint gonna happen).dont think anyone who goes to the league games in parnell have any problems come championship time.i always get sorted wit a few but we go to a few league games every year and i suppose thats the problem everyone wants to go to the big games but not the low key games (same in every sport).and im not a member of a club

    Well said!!

Every year its the same sh!te of "supporters" not being able to get tickets. With exception of All Ireland Final, the vast majority of people I know who deserve them, get them i.e. people with parnell pass/league attendees/club members.

If you are not one of these people maybe you should either a) become one, or b) accept the fact that they deserve their ticket a bit more than you and that you might not get tickets for the really big games.

Hey guys, I have 2 Hogan Stand, Lower, tickets, and would like to swap for 2 hill or Nally tickets.

Even though the Hogan tickets were more expensive, I would be happy to just make a straight swap for Terrace Tickets.

    Would anyone be interested?

Or... is there a more appropriate forum/thread for me to make the swap in?

All I can say is, that was the case when we were in the Ulster final in 01, one ticket per member.

I guess it must depend on the match and the club. I used to get my tickets from my club, but you could have spent up to 5 hours queing on a Friday night to get half of what you applied for. Certainly noone would have been guarunteed to get two ticket for the Hill for every match. I am very surprised any Dublin club is able to supply tickets that consistently to its members.

Ok, I feel I've let it go on long enough already.

There is a ticket forum for buying/selling/exchanging of tickets.

I've got a sticky linking to it and from TODAY ON I will be deleting threads on site.

I'm not going to move threads just because you can't follow simple steps.

Subscribe to the damn ticket forum for gods sake.
