Jenkins and Part win Hayling Island Players Championships

    Terry Jenkins won Saturdays Players Championships in Hayling Island by beating Wes Newton in the final. Mick McGowan had a poor tournament going out in the first round. MvG got to the quarter finals where Jenkins beat him.

    John Part won Sundays Players Championships by beating Mervin King in the final. Part won the Canadian Championships a few days before to make it a great week for him. Mick McGowan lost in the second round to Tony Eccles to continue his poor run of form.

    These two tournaments were used to decide the final 4 qualifiers for the World Matchplay. Adrian Gray, Steve Beaton, Michael Van Gerwen and Mervin King are the qualifiers. Jelle Klaasen just missed out.
