I am currently using NTL for broadband and am thinking of switching to Smart Telecom. I have a wireless router - Netgear WGR614. Can this be used with Smart's DSL modem?

    Thanks
    Dara

Yep it will only be a matter of putting the dsl router supplied by Smart into bridge mode.

Is the Netgear WGR614 ADSL or ADSL2? If its ADLS2 you might as well just use the Netgear WGR614 on its own. I use my DG834G (which I *think* is an older model) standalone and it works perfectly - keeps the house a bit tidier too!

The WGR614 is a wireless router for use with either a dsl modem/router or a cable modem. It cannot be used alone.
