    Hi I have two gay mates that have moved down to leitrim. They are not originally from the area and I have never been involved in the scene down here as I am not gay. I looked up some sites for the area but they seem to be ancient. Can anyone give me any guidance, re where to go in Sligo and Leitrim in particular? Is there gay friendly pubs, nite clubs or current support networks? I really think that are getting very bored and I feel somewhat responsible for them as they have moved to be near to me and support me as I have had some mad life changes. They arent internet connected yet. Your advice and assistance would very much be appreciated.

    Hi There,

    Not sure about Leitrim but in Sligo on Tuesdays in Fureys there is an unofficial Gay night currently on hold as there are renovations going on.

    On Fridays in The Left Bank there is Handbags which is a really good night, The Left Bank is also a Gay Friendly pub. Then there is Eden nightclub which is actually based in Galway but holds events in Sligo in The City Hotel.

    Also there is OutWest Irealnd which holds events all over the NorthWest there are details on the website - http://www.outwestireland.ie
