I've been playing guitar for about 11 years and would consider myself very proficient at playing it, to be modest! I only live for music and play bass & drums too, I also sing pretty good. I've been in a few bands but none really what I'm looking for. One band I was in broke apart due to a guy lying/not showing up, one just didn't work out, and the one I'm currently is just a covers band, with no intention of doing any original stuff. What I'm looking for is a band I can start a musical career with, that are 100% dedicated to the cause, and love it. They've also to be quite talented/proficient at playing their instrument, hate playing with people who are just learning to play with bands, I'd like experienced people with decent gear. Age group between 16-30, I'm 20 by the way (male).

So here's a list of bands I ritually listen to and love: Pink Floyd (especially Syd Barrett's stuff), Jimi Hendrix (With the Experience and Band Of Gypsys), Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Dire Straits, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, The Beatles, Cream, Stevie Ray Vaughan among LOADS of other stuff, but that's my main list. I love classic rock, blues and anything with a pinch of psychedelia ;) . I'm looking for another guitarist (of good standards for soloing etc., can sing), I'll play lead guitar too and sing, a good drummer who can do fills like no tomorrow :) , and a good bassist and a good keyboard player (really want to have a keyboard player)! Being able to sing is all the better, harmonies etc.

So I hope to bring back what's missing in music today with all this emo & indie
bull****. Meaningful songs, talented musicians and GOOD MUSIC! I live in Dublin and would like to hear from anyone who think they fit these descriptions!

    Thanks!

P.S. If anyone wants to hear me play guitar I can send sound samples in PM.

Breaking away from your influences, what style would you be looking to play? Aspirations stylistically?

    Whereabouts in Dublin?

Have you got a place to practice?(just wondering, don't mean to be shining a light in your eye)

Drummer looking to make heavy-ish stuff (not metal but kinda prog or stoner metal like QOTSA, Dream Theater, Kyuss, Soundgarden), riff driven but with musical proficiency in all aspects. Nowhere near as good as Mike Portnoy but looking to emulate that kinda stuff.

If you're at all interested send us a PM of your stuff and we'll see from there.

    Best of luck

Looking for a great singer or just musicians who can sing?

Well, I'm not looking for the next Robert Plant, but as long as you fancy yourself a good singer/instrument player, it'd be ok.

    What do you play?

Wanna work on starting up a hardcore/post-hardcore band...

Influences range across Rise Against, Comeback Kid, With Honor, Hatebreed, Thrice, At the Drive-In, Mars Volta... Basically anything loud, fast and rocking!!

I've already got a bassist (who's currently off for summer holidays) and i'm currently looking for a 2nd guitarist (mainly lead but should be able to play rhythm too and help with the songwriting process) and I'm looking for a drummer too.

    I'm the vocalist/guitarist of the band.. and i'm 19..

No i've got nothing written up as of yet but plans are to get stuff written and get the band ready for gigs by towards the end of summer...

    Hit back if you're interested...
