Just a quick question. How long does it take to walk from the Limerick train/bus station to the stadium? Might finally be able to get down to the match with the exams over. Tipp better do it this time...fools!

Is that true? Not a local, but I would have said a 15 minute drive - so maybe 45-60 minute walk from the train station to the Gaelic Grounds.......?????

I was recently at the Cork and Tipp munster footall semi final at the Gaelic grounds at walked to and from the ground from the train station, and took me 25 minutes at the most each way to walk, saved me money on a taxi I suppose.

It's about 25 minutes or so, just head straight down Mallow street (the one with the park on it) until you come to the bridge, on the far side of the bridge take the first right and then straight up the hill to the traffic lights, turn left at the taffic lights and keep going straight. Can't miss it, C'Mon Limerick.

Alright, cheers lads. Will probably have a lift in it turns out, so wont need the walk now. Unless of courese we make a pit-stop at some pub in there. The people I'll be with should know the way, now that I know what I'm fully doing. Cheers again.

Is the game sold out or what? Four of us had planned on going down from Galway (three are from Limerick) to go to the game but only one of us have a ticket.

From what I can gather from hoganstand it seems even club members are having trouble getting tickets so there's probably no chance of paying at the gate.

    Can anyone confirm this please?

Edit: We're just gonna stay in Galway

The official attendence was approx 30,000.

Someone would need to learn their sums again, as it looked like there was about 45,000 at it.

Great win for Limerick - they really showed determination till the end and while their standard of hurling was 100%, their leve of desire to win cannot be faulted.

Once again Tipp over-relyed on Eoin Kelly and it cost them. If Limerick hadn't given away some stupid frees in the 1st half of ordinary time, then Tipp would have been beaten out the gate.
