The Brotherhood of the Rose

    hi

i am wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to get a copy of this film (made for tv circa 1988/1989) on DVD ?

it was made for tv and was based on the novel of the same name by David Morrell (chap who wrote the Rambo series, The Fraternity of the Stone, The League of Night and Fog etc).

the film stars Robert Mitchum,Peter Strauss, David Morse & Connie Sellecca.

i have been doing a google for many an hour now but so far it seems that it is only possible to get a copy of it on DVD (copy from VHS to DVD).

if anybody can help...that would be great! i like these only of the novels, they are more more true to the origional story. e.g. the modern day version of the The Bourne Identity is good but the origional made-for-tv film staring Richard Chamberlain was better. So likewise I am hoping the made-for-tv of The Brotherhood of the Rose will be good.

    PLEASE HELP!!

It has not be released in dvd format.
It is possible to transfer the film from vhs to dvd if you have the right equipment and software.

thanks for that - not sure how i missed amazon...ah well.

would love if i could get dvd - it's a pity NBS have not released it on dvd.

i will think about those VHS copies.

just finished the novel "The Brotherhood of the Rose", starting the "The Fraternity of the Stone" and then "The League of Night and Fog". i have read them all before but they are very novels.

    thanks again!
