    From RTE website:
    Traffic mess expected in Wicklow

    Sunday, 17 June 2007 09:04

Gardaí are warning motorists of a potential traffic mess on the M50 and M11-N11 roadways in the Wicklow area today.

A section of the M11-N11 is closed to allow the construction of a footbridge.

Gardaí say the worst problems are being experienced by those coming off the M50 to join the road, because three lanes of traffic have to merge into one lane being routed through the centre of Bray.

AdvertisementWexford fans heading to Croke Park and a Rosslare ferry full of trucks headed to Dublin today will add extra traffic.

About 35 Gardaí are involved in the traffic management operation.

It was a bit of a nightmare last night apparently
The missus was coming home from taste of dublin, took an hour to get from Sandyford to Bray & this was at 9pm last night!

Instead of gradualy closing the lanes, ie:
close right hand lane, 1 km later close the middle lane, finaly funneling everyone into the Bray turn off.
Both M11 lanes were closed at the one point.
So traffic had to merge at a crawl at the last possible moment
