apart from the Noel Gallagher, Muse and White Stripes, stuff posted here is as good if not better :)

and if we got the access and press passes we'd better them for sure ...

I could get myself in a lot of trouble talking about NME photographers...

    Sorry. I meant Fotografers.

The first one that came up was of Genisis and it looked like a snapshot, some good shots but I would agree with the baz in terms of whats posted up here. One that instantly comes to mind is the picture of James Brown with the moody lighting. Cant remember who posted it up though.

Agreed, and what's with the redundant apostrophe in "picture's"?

The picture of Paul mcCartney isn't great at all, his face and the mic are so soft. Sometime's you have to wonder at the pictures that are used in music mags these days

Agree , when you look at the quality that came out in the 1970s , when the equipment would have been a lot worse ....
all that 70s stuff, is what got me interested in photograpy in the first place :-

all the Jamaican reggae stuff , early 70 Stones and Dylan , punk, Patti Smith , bowie , London Calling , early U2 -- the overall photography quality was quite amazing , to me anyway.

It's hard to find a picture from recent times that you can look at and think, "In a few years that could be one of "the" iconic images".

I love that Clash one from the side of the stage, the guitar smashing

It really must be a case of meeting the right people at the right time in music photography going on what is in the NME shots, must be a pain in the *ss for some guys on the boards that see these pictures and theirs are a whole lot better.
