Does 1080p require a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080? Was looking at a sony TV here which is described as supporting 1080p but has a screen resolution of 1366 x 768.

that tv is capable of displaying 1080p but not at its full resolution.

yes, 1920 X 1080 progressive is full HD.
