Just saw this on the Stansted site. New Easybus service to baker St(central London, near Oxford Street) from Stansted Airport.

Fares from £2(€3.04) single when booked online- www.easybus.co.uk.
Just booked mine because I'm going to London on Monday. The fare from the airport cost me £7(€10.64), probably because of the short notice, yet the return leg only cost me £2(€3.04) so €13.68 in total. That's a big saving compared with the train which at it's cheapest is around €30. Even beats Terravision coaches by about €7.

My advice, book early to get best price.:)

EDIT: just for other people's interest, checked for prices next month, returns for €6 in mid-July.
Wish i'd found this service sooner.

You could also get the bus to Stratford Tube Station which is on the Central Line.

Return ticket is about €18 I think.

Please put up a post telling us how you get on with this service!

I really hate the Stansted train - not only is it stupidly expensive but it doesn't run on Sunday mornings... which is a very difficult thing to understand given the amount of people who must take citybreaks to London at the weekends...

    Woah, not just me!

My return coach never showed, so I missed my flight and had to pay €80 to get home the next day! What happened to you? I've complained and I'm hoping to get that money back (although I'm sure it will never happen)...

    Easybus is the saviour.

I'm really surprised people have had trouble with terravision. I've used their Liverpool st service several times without a problem.

    Easybus is the saviour.

first time i was told bus wud be at moorgate and not liverpool st cos it was a sunday (foreign driver shouted this at me in a huff when i arrived in london day b4...he was horrible) and after waiting an hour and ringin the office in airport the bus finally turned up. nearly..very nearly missed my flight home.

second time..i know stupid goin with them again...waited for ages with group of american girls for bus in liverpool st. lashing rain and horrible winos round us. bus pulls up we try n get on..not allowed on, told to wait for next bus by some italian ticket guy who kind of came out of nowhere. another guy was also there b4 us n said he'd ben waiting bout half hour b4 we got there.he left to get train...smart guy!
few other people arrived then looking for bus.then the italian guy comes over again bout half hour later n tell us the bus down the road...which had been parked there since we arrived was terravision (no terravision written on it anywhere) and it was leaving straight away n wudnt wait for us if we didnt hurry down to it!!
we'd been standing in the rain n cold all that time and he never told us that was the bus! the american girls missed their flight in the end!! my flight was delayed otherwise i wud av too

seems they dont go by timetable at all, they'll just wait round til they get a decent number of people to make it worth their while headin out to airport!
    so yea never again!
