Brendan Drumm is claiming that 9 out of 10 patients are happy with their hospital stay in Ireland, and that adding more public beds would be a waste of taxpayers money.
I thought our urgent need was more hospital beds to avoid 72 hour waits on trolleys.

Conflict of interest: I think Prof Drumm is a complete and utter Fudd, with zero grasp on any of the issues facing the health service.

This reminds me of an episode of the Late Late a while back where somebody from the HSE was on saying that they measure the time a patient spends in A&E from the moment that they actually see a doctor, rather when they arrive. No wonder they are so out of touch with the current situation if they see it through the paradigm of crazy data like this, rather than basing their opinions on the real situation. How are they ever going to solve problems unless they know what they are???
