Summer Job, possibilities ???

    Ok so im just wrapping up my leaving cert now, and I want a job for the summer to get some cash together,

    So ive tried monster etc...., Id consider myself a freelance IT technician, I have 3+ years of experience with Mac, windows (including server 2000/2003/NT4), Analog and digital PBX systems, Exchange server, MS office, SMTP servers, networking, TCP/IP , LDAP, hardware and software maintanence and installation.

    I dont want to have to go the route of supermarkets or anything like that yet, anyone know of tech support jobs or anything that would accept me ??/

    thanks, cpl are only looking for people in dublin and currently only permanent positions with no night work options so since im going to college in september i couldnt take it even if i wanted

    Hi Steven,

    Sounds like you have quite a few skills which would be of use to any company...

    I would avoid talking to bigger companies cause typically you will only get your CV to a HR person. A HR person will generally only be interested in formal training + past work experience... HR people will not really look at a list of skills and say you would be good for the job, as they don't know what the skills are/mean...

    If i was you i would try target smaller companies where you could present your CV and skills to a technical manager who would be able to chat to you about them. Once he is happy you know what your talking about your in!
