    Hi all.

I think i've come to the end of my Ps 2 slim line.

I'm looking at buyinga new Ps3 in the next 6 weeks ( save a few pound).

    Whats the story with it?

    Is it worth it?

Are there new versions/ updates coming out?

When is the best time to buy one?

Where is the best place to buy one?

Im into online gaming recently ( playing fifa 06 all the time on line- love it)
I also need at least two controllers

I'd thought id wait a few months from the launch date to buy one. Ive been checking boards regularly to see how Ps3 is coming along and tbh its left me confused with all the bitching about it. Dont want to leave Ps as i've always had one :(

    Any info Greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Mark

Personally id wait for the price drop to happen:

Their arent many good games coming out either until October/November time when their is a bucket full of top games due for release.

IMO it is, and obviously will be increasingly worth it, but whether to buy now or buy a little later seems to be the most obvious question. If the money isn't a big deal for you and is burning a hole in your pocket, go for it, but bear in mind that it might be had for €100-€150 less in a few months. If you don't mind that, fire away.

As for the state of the system generally, and its library, it's hard to know what to recommend without knowing what type of games you like. But you can check out what's out there already here and see for yourself:

And what's coming the rest of the year here:

If you have a HDTV, the Blu-ray functionality might be a nice value-add for you if it helps you make a decision.
