    Jackpot 50 freezeout.

    Me 11k
    Villain 12k

Three orbits ago, villain floated a paired flop with A high, turn went check check, river double paired board, his opponent bet half pot, he raised, opp min-raised, he went to 4bet but string betted by mistake, they chopped it with A high each.

I've not got too much out of line, I've only shown three hands since I joined table, AK, AQ, AJ. Won some more un-contested, and got caught stealing once.

Blinds 150/300, two limpers, I complete SB with Ad3s.

    Flop is 5sQdQc, checked around.
Turn Jd, I bet out 600, villain is only caller.

He could be floating here, I'm not sure, but I'm ready to give up.

River is Qs, I bet 1200, he makes it 2500, I think and push.

    Who hates? Who likes?

I don't really like it, the slightly more than min rr on the river stinks to me.

leading the turn into four players is pretty bad IMO. And I don't like the river shove. The hand where he split with the Ace indicates to me that he is trying to make "heroic" plays (and is pretty bad) and doesn't like giving up. Therefore, I think you are getting looked up by any Queens full holding. I would check fold the turn. And I would just give up on that river as played.

I don't really mind my turn lead tbh Lloyd, it's usually quite an effective steal from the blinds on such a board.

As regards my shove, in hindsight, I hate it. I put too much weight in my read (which was WAY off), he has a boat there too often, and I was crazy trying to get him off it.

i cant believe you burst your hole laughin at my friend less than two weeks ago for foldin a set of jacks on a q j 6 board when he was right and then post such a donk story of your own..don't wanna start an argument here.jus really, the river min raise then a push?? personally i love it, very ballsy, but i have no doubt the guy took your chips!!

    I hate

I dont like the the turn bet at all at all. specially after we checked around on the flop. there are too many opponents to get through and the Jack is a card that very well may have hit 4 players. a card like a 4 would have been a better card to lead into.

    chck fold the turn

i hate the push into the the re raise.. your effectivly pushing for a split pot (villian probably cant let go of A high) or your losing

i alsofound it amusingmormon. folding a set is a player who potetially folds alot of winning hands....he is the kind of player you can bluff quite a bit. but thats for the other thread...dont want to hijack lazares on a diff topic.

First of all, I didn't burst my hole laughing at your friend, secondly, I never insinuated he was a donk, he just made a bad play, as I did here.

Oh, and the guy did take my chips, he made a very good call with quad Qs

Hi John, I'm laying myself 2/1 with the turn lead, it only has to work a third of the time, the only J that should call me is QJ. (and I was betting into three players not 4)

Totally agree with you on the rest of it though.

leading the turn is fine, maybe just call the river if you think your ace is good/split - reraising in mental

funny thing about reads, as in physical reads (as opposed to hand ranges etc) - imo it is very hard to dietinguish between a player with the nuts and one with air - for some reason the look equally as nervous with both if you get me - what i mean is sometimes a player with the nuts looks so nervous, you think they are bluffing, when the truth is that they are mad excited!

I think this is a case of the yeti/aejones theorem syndrome (sounds weird).

Just cos the board is paired, and in this case 3k'd, doesn't mean he doesn't have it..

    Hate it

You have done your donkament in with A3,
i hate walking away from a table with that feeling.

Ballsy play with not much reward even if he folds,
