I have a question about international flights and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

This autumn I plan to spend about 8 months in Oz and then take in some of south east asia to complete the year.

I have heard of a type of round the world plane ticket taking in something like 10 countries which you can buy but not specify your dates or destinations until later, but I can't find any info on it.

Has anyone else head of/used this service or was it just some kind of crazy dream?

as far as I know you have to specify your destinations before you by the ticket. Dates is a different matter and is quite flexible, you change them pretty easily for a cheap or no fee. You get 7 stops (depending on airmiles used) You seem to have a vague idea of where you want to go, so just research s.e asia and see where you'd like to stop.
