JVC appear to have cornered the market for DAB head units, nearly all of them come with CD and MP3.

As for recommendations, dunno really. A mate of mine has a JVC DAB head unit that's about 5 years old, works fine. Nearly all the JVC come with a windscreen aerial mount.

This, probably the pick (from this list)

Anything that says WITH DAB, check and make sure they mean the head unit only and that it doesn't require a unit in the boot.

And the standard glass mount aerial

I bought one last week online and have been very surprised by how good it is, given that its a Goodmans and it was very cheap! Its being marketed in the UK as the first DAB Car stereo for under 50 quid sterling. Its the GCE7007DAB. All it reccomends is that you have a metal aerial on your car (a lot reccomend that you get a seperate antenna or an amplifier). Installed it on Sunday and took a wander to Killiney Hill (what with being a nerd and all that stuff). Got all the Dublin stuff obviously enough as well as the NI DAB stuff (both BBC and ILR MUX) as well as the Welsh stuff too.

Sound is remarkably good for a cheap Stereo and the FM/MW/LW reception is pretty good too.

    I can type quickly ;)

Going to head 3 Rock direction later on and have a listen to what comes in there.

Have been pleasantly surprised by how consistent the DAB signal is around the city centre. I can see where there may be problems with portable radio/walkman types but for car or domestic use it seems good.
