Ive seen loads over at ebay the same place I purchased the rifle but dont know if they will fit and also I dont know what kind of mount I will need high or low. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Low mounts will be fine for a sniper rifle, you only need high mounts if you intend to use the rifles iron sights as well as the scope. I've heard some snipers find high mounted scopes quite uncomfortable too.

Thanks for your reply. Will the iron sights be in the way of the scope viewing field if it is low mounted?

Not at all. The scope is still raised up about an inch with low mounts. With high mounts it's 2-3 inches ;)

Thanks very much then I might buy both types of mount just to see. I think there like $4 each (dam cheap). Thanks again.

The VSR Pro Sniper comes with iron sights but this HAVE to be removed in order to fit the scope rail unfortunately.

I got the high mounts for my one, dont find it particularly uncomfortable, I actually find that it gives me more room to manipulate the bolt without tearing my hand/fingers off the scope.

When you are getting mounts make sure it says that they fit on the weaver rail, ie 20mm, ALSO most weaver mounts will only take a scope with a tube diameter of 1 inch (25mm) so make sure when you are looking at scopes that the tube diameter matches the mounts. The scope CrazyRabbit posted doesnt mention anything about tube diameter, but it looks pretty thin, ie 15mm or so.

I got a pretty basic Tasco 3-9X40 scope for mine, and to be honest thats too powerful because honestly at most your target is only going to be about 30m away, I fond that once you go beyond X5 magnification that the cross hairs get blurry. I'm actually contemplating going back to the iron sights, or looking up a more professional iron sight that will fit to the weaver rail.....do a bit of old style shooting :p

Edit: Heres a pic of mine with high mounts (she's not wearing that stock anymore though ;) )

that scope looks like the one i have sitting on my press at home. very nice.

High mounts can be good for when your wearing a full face mask. more comfortable to look through the scope

I dont really see a need for a full face mask outdoors, and about that scope you have in your press you still want it?
