    Anyone else get this email?:

    Dear Nintendo fan,

At Nintendo we respect the privacy rights of our online visitors and we recognise the importance of protecting your personal details. To allow us to implement additional features on our website, to improve our products and to adapt them to our users’ needs and preferences, we need your permission to gather information about your online activities on our web site and with Nintendo’s products..

Please review our new Privacy Policy by clicking on this link http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/en/GB/home/index.do and logging in to your account. Once you have read the information on that page, please use the appropriate buttons to either ACCEPT or DECLINE this new Privacy Policy.

Please note that if we haven’t received your answer by July 15, 2007, or if you choose to DECLINE our new Privacy Policy, you will from that day onwards no longer be able to use your Stars in the Stars Catalogue, as we will be forced to deactivate your Nintendo membership. No matter what you decide, you can still use your Stars and enjoy all the other benefits of the Nintendo membership account until July 15, 2007.

Also note that when you continue your Nintendo membership, from now on your Stars will automatically expire 24 months after they were added to your profile. Stars you have earned before the introduction of the new Terms and Conditions expire 12 months after the introduction of the new Terms and Conditions, which will not occur until June 1, 2008.

However, you will soon be able to swap your Stars for Wii Points in the Stars Catalogue if you linked your Wii Shop Channel account to your online Nintendo membership.

We look forward to seeing you again on our website soon, and hope you will enjoy the new generation in videogaming together with us!
    Your Nintendo team

I suppose 2 years is enough time for your stars to expire especially with them being exchangeable for Wii points. Did we ever find out the exact ratio of stars to points?

I still need to link the shopping channel to my VIP account I think better do that tonight. I have ~3,700 points which hopefully will get one game at least not sure what to get have all the Zeldas, are we likely to get Paper Mario or Super Mario RPG any time soon?

I had mine set to log in automatically, had to log out and back in before it would display for me...
12 months and 24 months sounds fair enough to me... hopefully they give us a decent Star points to Wii points ration

The following can be found on the site as well.
Hopefully this means we'll be able to exchange stars for wii points shortly after July 15th
If you became a Club Nintendo member before 8 December, 2006, we've recently sent you an email with details regarding changes to our Privacy Policy.*

At Nintendo we respect the privacy rights of our online visitors and we recognise the importance of protecting your personal details. To allow us to implement additional features on our website, to improve our products and to adapt them to our users’ needs and preferences, we need your permission to gather information about your online activities on our web site and with Nintendo’s products.

"The email we sent you contains a link that will take you to a landing page where you can read up on our new Privacy Policy. Alternatively, you can also simply log on to this website with your Club Nintendo account to be taken to the same landing page. If you're younger than 16 years old, you will be asked to inform your parents.

If you are using the automatic log-in feature, you will have to manually log out first. Then, when you enter your log-in details anew, you will automatically be taken to the special Privacy Policy page.

Please note that we need your active confirmation of accepting our new Privacy Policy. If we do not hear from you until July 15, 2007, we will be forced to close your Club Nintendo account.

*Our new Privacy Policy has already been in effect for people who joined from 8 December, 2006, onwards. If this applies to you, you won't receive an email, and can log in without being taken to the landing page. No action is required to keep your account active.

It's only fair if there's something to spend them on and if you don't have a Wii there's not much out there. I'm not going to spend 8,000 points on ringtones and wallpapers.

Looks like I'll need to get a Wii in the next year or I'll lose my 6000 points... Are they in stock yet? :p;)
