Pocket Pairs

I Play pocket pairs well according to my stats but i was just toying with an idea on improving more and hopefully someone can help with an EV calculation.

Were 7.5/1 to flop a set with a PP and were 4.2/1 to make the set by the river. What are we to improve to a set by the turn id guestimate 6/1, if this is true would it be possible to play PP more aggressive in position on the flop if we are heads up to always try and see a turn and using that aggression to have a good possibility of getting a free river card.

For example im dealt 22 and call a raise. As long as the flops texture is good enough to continuation bet at (Probably 75% of flops+) then ill RR any continuation bet against any opponent. If they push i fold, if they call i get to see another card and unless the villain has a monster hes very unlikely to bet into me again and if he does i fold but a high % of the time hell check to me and ill just check again giving me a free look at the river. Ill also have fold equity on the turn with the RR as our opponent is only hitting the flop 1 in 3 and probably continuation betting alot so hell fold without resitance a good bit. It also further disguises when we actually have strength and would increase our Flop Aggression.

It would be great to see if someone could do an EV calculation on this

Since you are 22:1 to turn a set given that you have not flopped a set, and given that you are 12:1 to hit a set by either the turn or river - its not a good semi-bluff. If you intend to bluff, then your cards dont matter at all, but if you want to semi-bluff, then you should try to have more than 2 outs.

Ah ha...Thats why i shouldnt post in the morning, still not awake. My odds was way off as i was thinking of preflop im 7.5 to hit set and 4/1 by the river but that would be all in preflop and as you said ive only 2 outs which defo makes it -EV:o :o No more early posting for me
