Chorus Digital New Channels!

    Hey just like to inform everyone that chorus has added a number of setanta sports channels including setanta 1 and 2, Celtic,Rangers and chelsea tv plus racing uk! I live in the Limerick region and not sure if everyone has these yet but id just thought id say something!

    I got them aswell in Cork. NASN seems to be working perfectly. Hopefully it will be a full time free channel.

    Cable or MMDS ?

    The chorus digital platforms are no longer identical. The Cable line up is now morphing into the NTL lineup.

    Im cable digital. Yes it does, just waiting fot the rest of the MTV channels and ill be happy! NASN and Setanta 1 seem to be sticking but time will only tell if there free. At least its showin chorus are movin up and UPC is coming closer!:D

    I think the extra Setanta channels are premiums that you have to pay extra for, so you shouldn't be getting them as part of your basic subscription... which means they'll probably disappear again unless you've signed up to receive them.

    To the best of my knowledge the new Setanta channels (in addition to Setanta Ireland and Setanta Golf) are only going to be available on Limerick, Cork, Swords and Malahide cable systems.

    There is lots of talk of new channels but i have no sign of anything. Well we found one on an auto search. I can do a manual search. Can any list the MHz of the channels?

    Any decent movie channels added? Sports? I would have imagined Navan would be better covered. :(

    On Digital the channels are automatic. The number of Analogue channels will be reduced.

    For your information, I see that a new channel has been added to the digital system in Cork. Buzz TV is on channel 131, just after Paramount 2 on the EPG. It seems to be an irish operation focusing on psychic powers.

    We have Virgin on 129 and Sci-Fi on 130, Buzz TV would be new to me though, previously it went 130 -> 151. I'll have a look when I get home.

    Surely not! :(

    I wonder if it is just getting started and using this as a cheap way to build revenue... It just occurred to me that there was a test channel, DTV I think, being broadcast around 802, it looked like the return of the 'link' channel. Perhaps this is Buzz?

    According to UPC it is a video games review channel. Obviously they don't even realise what a poor excuse for a channel it is.

    I say they realise its crap but they will pay more attention to the money coming from BuzzTV just to be on their digital line-up!

    When are these channels suppose to have been added to Limerick's channels as I'm living in Annacotty and don't have them yet.....

    And when will we all get the same channels as it is Limerick seems to be short about 30 channels from the max package.....

    This waiting for channels would not be half as frustrating if UPC subscribers outside of Cable areas were informed of when we might expect to be recieving new channels, DVR box. I live in Nenagh last channel we got was Buzz tv. Buzz off with that crap UPC...

    Does anyone thinks MMDS areas should get subsidised because we get an inferior service?

    I'm getting really annoyed at the lack of communication regarding channels and also feel we should be getting some sort of compensation as we are short approx 30 channels....

    Complain, complain, complain. Try to get a discount for the lack of service, explain how you can get far more on Sky for the same money. It may get you no where but it may get you money off your bills.
