    Looks good.

All I really want to see is the first shots of the Joker.

Im preety happy with it.Batman is sposed to look badass and in the pic above he looks like he would rip your head if you looked at him the wrong way.Im glad they got rid of the ear muff type bumps in the side of the mask, this looks more like the original drawings released for the last film.

Have to admit, when I first clapped eyes on it, I did get a little shiver run up my spine. Looks baaaaad-aaaaaass.

I thought they already showed a picture of Ledger in his Joker gear? All scarred and such.

"Batmanz on your police cruiser, beatin up your doodz, lol."

I like it, not to radically different from the last one, which looked a bit rubbery (which it was sort of made from, foam latex or whatever).

That looks pretty damn cool! At least he can move his head now, that used to annoy me so much!

Didn't he move his head in the last movie? The cowl and bodypiece were seperate. As far as I can remember.

Warners needs to sell some toys I guess.

I know Batman is supposed to be the king of gadgets, I just hope they don't over-do it and turn it all into a parody.

I've great faith in Nolan after ...Begins, but I just hope this bike has a reasonable purpose in the movie*, and isn't just there to, as you say, sell toys.

That said, the bike looks cool (and matches the tumbler in style - I do like the way they explain the gadgets as failed ventures of Wayne Enterprises etc.)

    * one that's more acceptable than having to get through a narrow laneway at high speed.

Could be part of the Tumbler / Batmobile maybe (like an escape vehicle).....it has similar looking wheels.

Of course, did you click the link? There's a picture of Batman sitting on it :D.

But here's some video from the Today show:

Heard a rumour before that a bike would deploy from the tumbler and this looks like it. Those wheels look exactly like the front wheels off the car. I'm speculating that they are gonna destroy the car and this yoke will detatch from the front of it or something.

Also, from the makers of the Lego Star Wars games:

Cool, the bat is starting to look more and more like a futuristic special forces soldier.

The 'Bat-Pod' looks like something out of Akira!

If they can pull off a live action Akira-stlye bike chase - that would be mind-blowing!

I thought it was quite clear from the way things went in Batman Begins that that particular story arch wasn't wrapped up just yet.

(the following isn't much of a spoiler, but just to be safe)
I do like the fact that Nolan is allowing major characters/villains to, in some cases, be given quiet introductions and allowed to develop in the sidelines and in others allowing them to last for more than 1 film.

Harvey Dent will probably be developed in this film and then turned into Two Face at the end - there are also rumours of Edward Nigma making an appearance in The Dark Knight.

On the other hand The Scarecrow seemed to be developing into a proper villain by the end of the last film (rather than just a geek with a sack) and could be worth keeping in play, especially if he's in control of Arkham Asylum, considering all the Joker links that come from there.

Makes for a far smoother story, as opposed to introducing a whole bad-guy back story in the first 5 minutes of a film, and killing them off at the end.

Zsasz was in Begins too, they could put him in for a bit as a Bat-punching bag.

I read on either IGN or filmwad that Cillian Murphy has been spotted on the dark knight set in chicago. They were filming a shootout between two gangs, maybe they were filmibg batman recapturing him?

Here's a pic I found of Ledger as the joker: http://inhome.rediff.com/movies/2007/may/22look.htm
    It seems real.

The film looks amazing and will be amazing i am totally convinced. i admit, i was a bit annoyed when i saw the joker's calling card at the end of 'Begins', because i thought 'what the hell are they re-making that for? there was nothing wrong with the first 2 films and certainly not with Jack Nicholson'. However, from looking at what's being said, i hope this is going to be a completely different film with a new storyline and Nolan is not remaking anything.

What i am most pleased about is the replacement of the dire katie holmes with the fabulous maggie gyllenhaal!!!!

but i guess that's all getting way off topic from the suit... cool suit, yeah.
