Does anyone have an idea what the bus times are like from the Long stay carpark at about 5 a.m?

Haven't been there quite that early, although my friend has and didn't report a long wait. I know at 6am-ish you won't be waiting more than about 10 minutes (though it can seem like a lot more than that if check-in for your flight is closing in 25 minutes. Not that I speak from experience or anything ;) )

One thing though; do be sure to get there in plenty of time as, it being summer, the car parks are pretty full and you might be re-routed to the Blue car park which is a quite a bit further away than the Red and Green and takes longer to get to the terminal from.

There is a bus every 10 mintes 24/7.

I travel every monday mroning at 6.40am and the airport is bedlam at that hour of the morning so you should be there in plenty of tie.

It depends on which Long Term Car Park that you use. There are four, Red, Green, Blue and Quickpark but there should be one about every 10 minutes on average regardless of which one you use. If the bus is full, it will leave anyway regardless of time.

In the Red Long Term Car Park (the one beside the ALSAA club) all 6 buses are operating from 4am now. (There used to be only 2 in operation from midnight to 5am).

Bewleys Airport Hotel provides a park and fly service. It's an internal car park beneath the hotel and costs €7 per day. There is a mini-bus to the airport and it goes every 20 mins at the top of the hour, 20 mins past and 20 mins to the hour, 24 hours per day.

You don't have to stay in the hotel, just park and get the mini-bus. Dublin Airport is extremely busy at that time.

Does it return from the airport to Bewleys regularly also? If one arrives on a Bank Holiday morning at 3am, will there be a bus there, or does one have to go to the hassle of calling the hotel etc.

Yes it goes throughout the night. You just get the bus back from where it drops you off. Every 20 mins.
