Some Tournament hands

These are both taken from a 3 day event a while back. 15k starting stack.

Details of the stacks sizes and blinds maybe a bit off but as close as i remember.

    Hand 1

This is day 1 and have been playing pretty TAG nothing really out of line.

I have made a few button raises and they have been snapped off by the BB , also NFR is to my left and has raised a few buttons with the same guy in the SB snapping most of them off by coming over the top. I am getting really sick of this. He has yet to have to show one of these 3bets.

An orbit or two ago i have just doubled up the Villian when he flat called my UTG raise with AA and we got it all in a low flop when i had KK. We are both playing about 20k.

    Blinds 200/400
Folded to me on Button and i make it 1200 to go with 7h,8h (3x) has been my standard raise . He reraises to 4000 (3 times the raises has been his standard) and i shove ??? What do we think ?

    Hand 2

Day 2 - I was moved table right at the end of day 1 and this is early into day 2 so not much to go on. But from what i have seen Villian is a moron calling raises with any 2 pictures.

I have about 44k at the start of this hand and he has about 25k.

    Blinds 400/800

I look down 2 back kings and make it 2700 to go. Only the Villian in the SB calls pot now 6200

Flop QJ3 rainbow , he checks and i bet 5500 , he calls.

    Turn is a J ... he checks ..... I check.

River is a 6 ... he checks ...... Me ??? What do we like ??

    Hand 3

This is taken from the side event. 10,000 starting chips.

I am on about 16,000 blinds are 200/400. I have been very active around the cut off and button with little resistance. Villian seems pretty solid and from what i have seen he has only got involved with your standard hands thus far. Pairs , Big A's etc. Most of his stack has come from a big pot preflop when he got it all in with AA against AK.

Folded to me on the button and i make it 1200 to go with 4s,5s

Only the BB cals playing about 26,000 .... Pot 2600

Flop 6h,3h,5c He checks and i bet about 2000 , He raises to 6000 and me ??

    Hand 4

Just one more taken from the GJP 300 event a while back.

Final table and we have just bubbled down to 8 or 9 i think.

I am SB in this hand and have about 36k blinds 1/2k i think.2 limpers in the pot and i complete with 7c,8c. No real reads on the Villian in this hand as the final table is the first time i have been playing with him and i don't recall him playing any hands thus far.

Flop 7,8,J rainbow i lead for 6k BB fold first limper calls and the 2nd limper shoves ...... easy fold ??

    Thanks in advance.

Edited the original post to give a few more details. Sorry my memory is a bit hazy as all of these did happen a while ago.

im the villian from hand 1 i had been playing tight all day set out not to show many hands in the tournament as its something i ussually would do i believe this cost me the tournament as if i had shown down my re raises i believe he could not have pushed,i had layed down jj to a re raise which was probably the only hand i showed, the weakest re raise was with aq but this was to button raises i was basically hitting big hands in the blinds.when i had aa i decided i would just flat call as my stack was approx 6000 and i believe the raise was approx 1600 so i was in a position where you would probably continuation bet and i could push with you more or less commited.I knew after this you were basically out to get me so when u raised to 1200 i decided 400 was a decent sized raise happy to take down bet and antes with it then when you pushed i had a decision to make i really felt i was ahead i certinaly would not put you on aa kk as i did not feel you would push with it,the range i had you on was 77 to jj maybe ak i really felt it was a move of some sort, which proved right when you turned over 78 in my opinion i dont think you needed to risk your tournament life on a move like this you were playing nice tight aggressive poker all night i hesitated calling and if it had been nfr making the same move i would most probably have folded its just all the factors leading up to the hand that led me to call.

At the end of the day this had the effect of getting me to stick my stack in the middle as a big dog and you got unlucky so i don't think you should look at it like that.

Wes , i would be interested in what you think on hand 2 as you were at the table if you can remember it that is ?

Hand 1 : He called i rivered a straight to bust his QQ

Hand 2 : I bet out and he shoved i was pot commited and had to call and he had JJ

Hand 3 : I shoved and he called with 66 and i got no help

Hand 4 : Meh i called and pretty quick too and he had J8 off.

I thought afterwards that it was an awful call and was surpised to see Valor say he would call.
But when i think about it i am not sure the calls is that terrible i never expect to see J7 and i mean if he is bad enough to limp with J8 he might be bad enough to push JQ or JK and i don't think anyone plays the nuts like this.
