Yes he is the new Ceann Comhairle. Which I think means he is automatically elected to the next dail. so another 8 years of him. God this country never learns.

Don't think you can blame the country for this one, its not like we had much say in the matter of who gets the CC chair.

Kerry will be a five seater next time so they are just "looking after business".

At least it gets the gob****e out of a ministry. There'd been a number of ridiculous funding decisions in sport in the last five years, esecially the Shamrock Rovers situation.

In fairness, at least Bertie is learning. O'Donghue started in Justice and is being slowly demoted. Likewise Micheál Martin, pity they don't do the same with Cullen. Minister for Xmas would be above him, we'd probably have it in March

Does anyone know where DICK Roche has gone??? Can't understand how Martin Cullen got a cabinet seat, I wouldn't give that pr*ck a high chair in a Mc Donalds restrauant.

Well Environment was the obviouls choice for the Greens and maybe Roche wasn't trusted with anything more high profile. Look how he handled the electoral register and washed his hands of the Galway water issue.

On balance, this is probably good news. As CC, he won't be able to go on Questions and Answers any more.
