I was just wondering if anyone had spotted this on their lasted phone bill?

My wife normally tries the phone in for whatever prize is going. As usual the phone is engaged for a few tries and then she gets through. I have just noticed ton our lasted phone bill, that apart from being charged for the actual phone call when she got through to the answering machine, we were also charged the same amount for each attempt that was unsuccessful and engaged!

    Anyone else?

This must be a case of over charging mustn't it?

I have attached relevant portion of phone bill.

Eircom were in the news about this in mid May. Essentially they had a mess up with their billing system and charged people for engaged calls. According to the independent article, three 'Late Late Show' programmes were affected by the overcharging blunder - on April 27, May 4 and May 11.

Eircom also said they would issue a full refund to all customers affected
